Mr. Carlos Martinez is a native New Mexican, born and raised in Albuquerque. He and his wife both graduated from the Albuquerque Academy. He earned degrees in Accounting and Finance from the University of Denver and graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He was admitted to the New Mexico State Bar in 2010.
Carlos has been in the court room ever since. His experience in complex family law litigation and business are invaluable assets when it comes to explaining the nuances of family law, utilizing strategic financial planning, and achieving a favorable resolution of your legal issue.
Unfortunately, Carlos is still living life in the 90’s bringing up the glory days of his soccer team, Striker Force. He continues to insist that, “back in his day,” he was the greatest athlete and but for his knee he could still play at that level. Feel free to walk away at this point in his conversation (his wife does too).
Carlos is on the board of directors for the family law section of the NM Bar Association and the internal review board for Presbyterian Health Services.
Carlos is the president, founder, and former Chairperson of the Cannabis Law Section. Carlos is also the budget officer of the Family Law Section. He is also the secretary of the Cannabis Law Section and on the Rio Rancho Ethics Panel.
He has three children and loves spending time with his family and tinkering in his garage honing his home brewing skills.
